We have an offline feature that will allow you to continue to check out.  Once internet is restored you can update the transaction with one click.  Because Polaris is web-based, you can use a hotspot and continue to use Polaris while the internet is down.

Hi Beth – I will get more details for you.  Because we are apart of Clarivate, academic libraries have choices.  For instance, Polaris can connect directly to Summon and EXLibris product that can be included in a contract.  However, some of our current Academic Libraries choose to use the Polaris PowerPak OPAC.
